The view was perfect. There was a basement with a lot of room, and there’s darts and a bat and a little basketball thing. There are really good sunrises. All right!

My visit to Moon Ranch last summer was really restful and the setting was a wonderful place to catch up with my family just sitting on the deck watching cotton candy clouds over the high desert and playing cards in the evenings at the big table. The house is better appointed than my own home, and when we needed some medicine it was a quick trip to Fairplay. I was sad to leave and can’t wait to get back as soon as I can. ♥️

The Moon Ranch is really fun. I would love to live here if I could, but my mom says no. The kitchen is so gorgeous, and it is fun to hang out at the table with the chandelier.

This is by far our favorite place to get away as a family. The Waxing W Moon Ranch is so comfortable for our family of four. We often use the huge kitchen to cook and be together as a family — it’s a chef’s delight! Everything about it is so cozy. Our kids love playing in the loft or shooting hoops in the basement. It’s the perfect place to slow down and look up at all the stars! We dream about coming back each year.

My friends and I periodically like to plan what we lovingly call a “Bookcation” where the only purpose is to exist with your favorite people, eating cookies, drinking wine, and reading. 100% recommend the experience! 110% recommend having the experience at Waxing W Moon Ranch! We had the best time.
The hardest part of the whole thing was trying to pick who slept where as the rooms were too cute and we couldn’t decide!! No matter what room you were in, waking up and coming out to the living room with a capital “V” View was breathtaking! The kitchen was fully equipped with whatever you may need, which was super handy as we had one in our party with severe allergies who has to cook every meal. The dining room table was able to accommodate our party and ended up being the perfect spot for a session of our ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign! We all finished one book during the stay so I’d say we were pretty productive too! We will likely come back again!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Ranch. Beautiful views of the continental divide on a secluded lot with close access to everything the Rocky Mountains have to offer. The house is brand new with plenty of room for a large family or a gathering of friends. Merrick and Jesse are great hosts, and we highly recommend this spot for an exciting Colorado adventure.

What an amazing cabin! I hosted two out of town colleagues for a work retreat at the Moon Ranch. We enjoyed the solitude, the long winding gravel road walks, and the well-equipped cabin. The attention to detail at the cabin made the stay stress free. We will definitely be returning. Bonus: We saw several deer and jack rabbits!

We have stayed at the Waxing W Moon Ranch twice and will again. The views of the Continental Divide tell you that the location is perfect, close to many outdoor opportunities. It is also well stocked for indoor fun, with games, puzzles, and other activities. The cabin is clean and fresh. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck after a long walk through the rolling, high plains hills or a trip to nearby Fairplay or Breckenridge. We’ll be back!

The Waxing W Moon Ranch is a really fun place because there is a really big dinner table where you can invite many guests and then there is a cozy loft and our cousins stayed here too and all of us could sleep in there. There is also a really big comfy couch that I like to sleep on. And there is a really fun downstairs where you can do fun games.
